Eco-responsible practices with the installation of beehives at the castle
As we are keen to protect our environment, we want to encourage local craftsmanship. We have therefore chosen to produce our honey in collaboration with a local beekeeper.
In 2021, to enrich the biodiversity of the park, Château de la Plinguetière, in association with Manon, ‘beekeeper’ and creator of the Le Miel est une fleur brand, has installed two hives that you can see in the forest.
Manon accompanies us throughout the year to look after the bees.
In early 2022, we were able to harvest the fruit of their labour: a sweet, light summer honey.

Our sheep
Two sheep can be seen in the meadow at the edge of the wood.
Originally from the island of Ouessant in Brittany, these hardy sheep are the smallest in the world!
By helping to cut the grass, they are making their contribution to our eco-responsible approach.
Refuge LPO – League for the Protection of Birds
For several years now, the Château de la Plinguetière has been listed as an LPO refuge on its estate in order to preserve nature and improve biodiversity on the site.
By joining this scheme, we undertake to respect the following principles:
- To create conditions conducive to the establishment of fauna and flora (planting trees, insect hotels, nesting boxes, etc.)
- Renounce the use of chemical products
- Reduce our impact on the environment
This ecological approach is in keeping with the history of Château de la Plinguetière, a place that has stood the test of time while remaining committed to preserving its environment.
