- Article 1: Information
The present information concerning our tourist products constitutes the preliminary offer covered by the following general conditions of purchase. However, changes in the nature of the services may inevitably occur. In accordance with article R211-5 of the French Tourism Code, any changes will be notified to the customer in writing.
- Article 2: Liability
Château de la Plinguetière is responsible under the terms of Article L211-16 of the French Tourism Code, which states:
“Any natural or legal person who engages in the above-mentioned operations to article L. 211-1 is responsible for to the purchaser of the goods. proper performance of obligations resulting from the contract, whether or not and whether these obligations are to be performed by itself or by other service providers. services, without prejudice to its right to recourse against them and within the limit compensation provided for in the international conventions. - Article 3: Reservations
The reservation becomes firm when a deposit representing 30% of the price of the stay is paid and a copy of the signed quotation is returned to the Château before the deadline indicated on the quotation.
- Article 4: Membership
As an association governed by the French law of 1901, the Château de la Plinguetière is not subject to the usual tourist taxes. However, as an entity governed by the law of 1901, the association will request membership from individuals or legal entities once a year.
- Article 5: Late registration
When a booking request is made less than 30 days before D-day, the full balance will be required.
- Article 6: Arrival
The customer must arrive at the time indicated on the quotation.
In the event of late or delayed arrival or last-minute inconvenience, the customer must notify Château de la Plinguetière directly, at the address and telephone number indicated on the quotation. Unused services will be charged to the customer.
No later than 2 weeks before arrival, the customer must provide the reservation department with the total number of guests.
- Article 7: Payment of the balance
On arrival, the customer must go immediately to reception, provided reception is open, to pay the balance of the reservation.
- Article 8: Cancellation
Any cancellation on the part of the customer must be notified to the Château de la Plinguetière. The following conditions apply:
- Cancellation more than 30 days before the holiday: 30% withheld from the holiday price
- Cancellation between the 30th and 21st day inclusive before the holiday: 40% deducted from the price of the holiday,
- Cancellation between the 20th and 8th day inclusive before the stay: 50% deducted from the price of the stay,
- Cancellation between the 7th and 2nd day inclusive before the holiday: 75% of the holiday price will be retained,
- Cancellation on the last day before the holiday: 100% of the holiday price will be retained.
However, for groups, we accept a 10% variation in the number of participants. The Château de la Plinguetière staff must also be notified of any change in the number of participants.
- Article 9: Interruption
In the event of interruption of the stay, no refund will be made on our part.
- Article 10: Modification of a substantial element of the contract by the reservation service
According to the Tourism Code R211-10 :
“When, before the buyer’s departure, the seller is obliged to make a change to one of the essential elements of the contract, such as a significant increase in price, and when he fails to comply with the obligation to provide the information mentioned in 13° of article R. 211-4, the buyer may, without prejudice to any recourse for compensation for any damage suffered, and after having been informed by the seller by any means enabling acknowledgement of receipt.
– cancel the contract and obtain immediate reimbursement of the sums paid, without penalty;
-or accept the modification or substitute trip proposed by the seller; an amendment to the contract specifying the modifications made is then signed by the parties; any reduction in price is deducted from any sums still owed by the buyer and, if the payment already made by the latter exceeds the price of the modified service, the overpayment must be returned to him before the date of his departure”.
- Article 11: Seller’s inability to provide services during the stay
According to the French Tourism Code 211-11:
“When, after the buyer’s departure, the seller is unable to provide a preponderant part of the services provided for in the contract, representing a non-negligible percentage of the price paid by the buyer, the seller must immediately take the following measures, without prejudice to any claims for compensation for damage suffered:
-If the services accepted by the buyer are of inferior quality, the seller must reimburse the buyer for the difference in price upon his return;
-or, if it cannot offer any replacement service or if these are refused by the purchaser for valid reasons, provide the purchaser, at no extra cost, with transport tickets to ensure the purchaser’s return under conditions that can be deemed equivalent to the place of departure or to another place accepted by both parties.
- Article 12: Accommodation
Services can be sold “dry” or in the form of board and lodging, including meals and beverages. If a customer wishes to sleep alone in a room set aside for two, we are entitled to charge an individual supplement, determined in advance by the reservations department.
- Article 13: Catering
Catering services are regulated according to the following schedules:
- Breakfast: Between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m.
- Lunch : At 12:15 pm
- Dinner : At 7:00 pm
Only one menu is available per meal. All special menu requests must be made in writing to the reservations department. These will be accepted subject to feasibility.
- Article 14: Free gifts
When booking a corporate entity, we offer the following free services:

- Article 15: Room hire
Once you have paid a deposit to confirm the rental of the hall, you will be asked to provide a certificate of civil liability, as well as a deposit cheque to be delivered at least one month before the effective date. The following rules must be observed when using the service:
- Evening rentals start at 5:00 pm and end at 10:00 am the following day.
- Weekend rentals start on Friday at 5:00 pm and end on Sunday at 10:00 am.
- The room must be returned in the same condition as it was given.
- Glass waste must be taken away by tenants.
Any request to extend the rental period must be made in writing to the reservations department.
- Article 16: Complaints
Any complaint relating to the non-performance or improper performance of the contract must be addressed to Château de la Plinguetière as soon as possible, and may be made in writing to
